Red Bull held the prestigious soap box derby race at Red Rocks today. I was so pumped to see full grown men flying down a wild course in their home built contraptions. Unfortunately, me and thousands of other people were unable to get in as the highway patrol shut down everything saying they had reached maximum capacity. So instead I just climbed a mountain and took a shot from a mile or two away.

As I descended from my mountain I happened to come across hundreds of porsches of all different ages, styles, and models getting ready to race. I’m not a big car guy but these were pretty rad to check out and watch fly around some cones.

Luckily I made it back in time to catch the end of the UNC Longboard Club race festivities. Here’s Santiago getting tight and low on one of the last turns on course.

And as it always seems to go, someone meets the concrete and donates a few particles of skin to the cause in trade for a few prized pieces for their scab collection. It was a good, crazy day and I hope to have more like it soon.
