J osh Kasper is a legend within the skateboard industry. He’s done some of the biggest gaps, stair sets, and will always be remembered by skaters of all ages and styles. I was honored when presented the opportunity to develop a new pro model graphic for him through Reliance Skateboards. Josh is a San Diego local, and although not of Hispanic descent, he has always enjoyed the culture, and style that it brought to his home town. His new pancho muerte skull series is what came from my work, combining the classic and highly favored pancho pattern with the iconic muerte skull that has such great aesthetics. It was a fun project and both Josh and I are really happy with the way all the product came out. The most rewarding part, I must say, is seeing Josh skate Carlsbad(the gap that made him famous) and still progressing while riding my designs. That’s something I never could have imagined as a little kid skating my driveway.
